Charger Sports Roundup
Volleyball
The Lady Chargers volleyball teams remain undefeated this season with their win against Jane Long Middle School on Oct. 1. Seventh and eighth grade teams both won 2-0.
Volleyball coach Crystal Krolczyk named Ava Tang the 7th grade player of the game for the second time this season.
“Ava is the clear leader of the court,” Krolczyk said. “She keeps everyone where they are supposed to be and she can play all the positions.”
Krolczyk recognized Anna Claire Dykoski as the 8th grade standout player for the game.
“The opponent team had a couple good serves, but Anna Claire was able to keep the ball off the ground and she was able to make sure we had good passes to set up the hits,” Krolczyk said.
There are only two games left this season. The Lady Chargers play Lanier on Oct. 9 at Pin Oak. The game starts at 6 p.m.
Football
The seventh grade football game against Meyerland was postponed due to a district transportation issue. The game has been rescheduled for Monday, Oct. 27 at Pin Oak. The game starts at 5:30 p.m.
