Lorelei: Hey Chargers welcome back to gray day news providing you with weekly updates and recaps about the week. I’m Lorelei and our top story focuses on the upcoming Intermediate Fall Play on December 17h. Lauren has the details.
Lauren: Thanks Lorelei, the Intermediate Fall Play is a theater performance that Pin Oak hosts every year that occurs before Winter Break. This is an opportunity for the intermediate theater students to showcase their talent. This year, the show is called “The Game of Tiaras” which is directed by Mrs. Henry, the Pin Oak Theater teacher. The play is about three princesses that fight over their dad’s kingdom because they all want the crown.
Lorelei: This semester, Ms. Henry wanted to focus on comedy while in the second semester she is planning to focus on drama. The preparation for this play lasted 3 months. The Show will be taking place on Tuesday, December 17th from 5:30 – 6:30pm at Pin Oak in the MPR. In order to purchase tickets, visit school pay. Tickets are $5 per person. Up next: Weather Update!
Lauren: The high for today is 73 and the low is 62. We should be expecting a 40% chance of rain and the UV is going to be 2. The rest of the week looks like it should be a little cloudy and a little sunny. Next is this week’s recap.
Lorelei: Last week, the boys and girls basketball teams both didn’t play last Thursday, December 12th because it was a bye week for the players. Remember chargers, this Friday is your last chance to wear ugly sweaters before we enter Winter Break. The grade that wears the most and best ugly sweaters will get a special prize after the Winter Break. Ending our recap, stay tuned for the upcoming.
Lauren: Mark your calendars! The winter concert featuring the band will be held on Wednesday, December 18th from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at Pin Oak. Following that, the choir and guitar concert will take place at Pin Oak on December 19th from 6:00 to 7:30 pm. Don’t forget, musical auditions are scheduled for Wednesday, December 18th and Thursday, December 19th after school from 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Let’s show our support for the Chargers – see you there!
Lorelei: Thanks for tuning into Gray Day news with Lorelei and Lauren Chargers! Until next time, I’m Lauren and this was gray day news. I hope you have a great rest of your day!
